It is well known that various research studies have proven the effect and impact of music on the entire ecosystem including human beings, animals, plants et All.

Music, when used as a therapy is known to have reduced stress, symptoms of depression in people. Classical music lowers blood pressure, deepens sleep, eases pain, enhances memory and makes people empathetic. Music helps plants grow taller, stronger and healthier.  "The Sound of Music and Plants," authored by Dorothy Retallack states that the plants that were exposed to classical and Indian sitar music leaned toward the speakers and began to grow and flourish.

As an organization, we collaborate with individuals and organizations on projects to explore and research on Sound and Spirituality.  Idea is to understand and help the individuals provide tools through music that may help an individual deepen their spiritual / religious practices.

Living Hanumān

The first project undertaken by Shruti Sarita Art was with Shri Pawan Kumar Mishra, the author of Living Hanumān A journey from a selfie to the Self.

The Book, Living Hanumān (English, 908 pages) is a contemporary commentary on a 16th century hymn known as the Śhrī Hanumāna Chālīsā. This hymn is popularly sung by about a billion people as part of their prayers, whether daily or on occasions. The book is an attempt to bring forward the unified stream of various world religions and wisdom traditions to present Śhrī Hanumān as a religion-neutral, inclusive consciousness. The book attempts to lead the readers into discovering Śhrī Hanumān within the ambit of their personal experience as their own conscious-self, beginning with an awareness of Him as one’s very breath. Living Hanumān enables the readers to obtain an all- inclusive worldview, leading to mutual tolerance, acceptance and harmony.  The emphasis is on consciously harnessing the awareness of divinity in oneself and all others. The central message of the book, Living Hanumān, is to serve the Earth with all Her beings while allowing the blossoming of one’s highest personhood, given as: Live like the sky, embracing all, give like the Earth, unconditionally.
