Pandit Samir Chatterjee is an extremely talented, prolific and eminent table player. He has accompanied several music maestros such as Pandit Ravi Shankar, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Jasraj, Ustad Vilayat Khan and many more.
An integral part of Farrukhabad Gharana, Pandit ji has been a catalyst in the fusion of Indian and various musical streams.
World over, he has rendered several solo performances. Founder of Channdyan, he has been teaching students for the past 35 years. He has also authored a book “A Study of Tabla”. Through his writings he contributes to the newspapers and periodicals regularly. He is also a faculty at Manhattan School of Music.
