Ashutosh Kukreti and Ashish Kukreti

Two young musicians, a Hindustani classical vocalist and Tabla player came together in 2016 and bounced an idea of reinvigorating interest in Indian classical music amongst young people in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.  Being struggling artists themselves, they understood the trials and tribulations of upcoming artists and wanted to do something about it.

The passion for classical music and empathy towards fellow musicians led to creation of an organization that would provide a platform to upcoming classical musicians and artists of India.  The two ploughed all their meager savings and held their first concert in Rishikesh in 2016, under the banner “Shruti Sarita”.  Since then, the organization has been inviting musicians and holding concerts.  In the wake of pandemic COVID 19, they also ventured into virtual live performances in support of the artists. The organization, Shruti Sarita Art, is now a registered non-profit and a Non-Government Organization (NGO) Trust, founded by Shri Ashish Kukreti and cofounded by Shri Ashutosh Kukreti besides, three Trustees and four Advisory members from varied field.
